Despite not having the vocabulary to adequately describe feelings of melancholy and depression, young students inevitably experience these states of emotion.

Machinarium
Amanita Design Studio released their independent, visually stimulating and impressive game today. There is a demo available to play on their site (without downloading) but you can get the full game and soundtrack for Mac and Windows for $20 (about £12). Very much worth it, and a great combination if game and art.

A wonderful and slightly dark short film about an a meteorite and it’s consequences on one man’s life.
The Pink Panther Title Sequence
I love The Pink Panther (and the other four films), but the title sequences are simply amazing, truly well crafted traditional animations. This one is from the first film, ‘The Pink Panther’ from 1963.
