Not quite design, but since the UK has been absolutely caked in snow, I decided that you all deserve a high resolution image, courtesy of NASA.

Layer Cake is a downloadable illustrator/vector font that you can use , provided by the nice folks at Just-My-Type.
Unlike a lot of modern fonts, this one is a little more ‘out there’ and has a lovely science fiction feel to it.
You can see some truly inspiring design work over at Graphic Nothing. They use colour and negative space heavily to create some wonderful pieces.

As a fan of sci-fi and of art and design, this appealed to me straight away, a lovely, informative and picture-plenty article over on ‘Pink Tentacle’.

A wonderful and slightly dark short film about an a meteorite and it’s consequences on one man’s life.
An inspiring and emotive short film dedicated to the little blue planet most of us take for granted each day. Contains readings from Carl Sagan’s ‘Pale Blue Dot’.
